We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Officer who can  volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) for 3 months initially, go in-country for a total of 6 months then complete the project remotely for a further 3 months. 

  • Provide support by offering the team fresh perspectives, innovative strategies, and industry best practices that can significantly elevate the organisation’s outreach and engagement.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a qualification in marketing, communication or related field and have a proven track record in media and marketing.
  • As a volunteer, you will help to attract project resources and foster meaningful partnerships that enhance the organization’s impact within the community.

About the Partner Organisation 

African Child Projects, based in Dar es Salaam, is a youth-led organisation registered as a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). The organisation focuses on bridging the digital divide and bringing internet access to communities in Tanzania by building 'digital societies'. The organisation has projects around four thematic areas: Technology, Education, Research, Policy and Advocacy. 

In collaboration with the communications and general operations teams, the volunteer will support with developing, producing, and managing engaging multimedia content across the organisation’s official platforms. The volunteer will combine creativity with strategic planning to strengthen the organisation's social media presence and digital content strategy, while leveraging specialised expertise to help the team to design and implement impactful campaigns aligned with the organisation's mission.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1,845 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  
  • First Aid Certificate must be attained.
