We’re looking for a Learning Centre Project Development Officer who can live and volunteer for 15 months in Vanuatu.
- This assignment seeks to establish and operationalise a Learning Centre under the Language Centre
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a degree in education sciences, development studies, project management, or a closely related field.
- You will be working alongside the Director of the Language Centre of the University and the Centre staff
About the Partner Organisation
The National University of Vanuatu (NUV) is the country’s first national institution of higher learning, officially established by Act No. 34 of 2019, it opened in 2020. Its creation reflects the Government of Vanuatu’s strategic vision to build local capacity through a bilingual home-grown tertiary education system. The NUV is now positioned as the premier bilingual institution in Vanuatu and operates with a dual-sector structure combining higher education and vocational training. In 2024-2025, NUV continues expanding its academic programs including Bachelor’s degrees in education, Environmental Science and Sustainable Development, Digital Science, and new diplomas in Climate Resilience, Humanitarian Action, and ICT.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
