We’re looking for an Environment and Social Governance Mentor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Nepal.
- This assignment seeks to support the development of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) curriculum
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a master’s degree in Sustainable Development focusing on Environment, Society, Economics, or another relevant field relevant to the role.
- As a volunteer, you will support to strengthen the capacity of faculty and experts in ESG practices through participatory master training sessions, ongoing learning assessments, and post-training support
About the Partner Organisation
The Department of Development Education at Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED) offers three master’s programs: Master in Sustainable Development (MSD) – 2 years, Master in Technical Education and Vocational Training – 2 years, and Master’s in Training and Development – 1 year. These programs aim to develop careers in educational development. Among them, the MSD program focuses on major global challenges such as economic recession, social behavior and conflict, and environmental issues. KUSOED is developing a curriculum based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles to meet the growing demand for sustainability, ethical leadership, and socially responsible development. We are seeking an individual with strong interdisciplinary skills to support the design, contextualization, and evaluation of the curriculum and training sessions. The aim is to create a curriculum that is relevant and sustainable in Nepal’s development context, targeting implementers, project managers, environment students, and experts.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens.
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
