We’re looking for a Curriculum Improvement Program Knowledge Management Officer who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Vanuatu.
- This assignment seeks to support the Curriculum Development Unit (CDU) to organise existing curriculum materials into a cohesive and standardised approach. Working alongside unit members, the volunteer will take stock of what has already been produced, agree a consistent way to file and label materials in Google Workspace and Classroom suited to each year level, and help the unit plan the development of materials that are still needed. The focus is on organising, documenting and strengthening systems that the unit can maintain on its own, rather than on developing new curriculum content
- To be considered for this role, you will need tertiary qualification in education, instructional or learning design, or information and knowledge management and Training or qualification in organising and managing digital learning resources or content Experience organising, standardising and managing digital learning resources or document libraries, including filing structures and naming conventions Confident use of digital learning platforms such as Google Classroom, with strong skills in document formatting and templates. Experience supporting and building the skills of a team through respectful approach that follows the lead of local colleagues
- You will be primarily working alongside a dedicated CDU and ministry staff

The core purpose of the Vanuatu National Curriculum is to provide a quality, relevant and harmonized curriculum to all students in Vanuatu from preschool to year 13 through conventional teaching delivery by teachers in classroom and laboratories as appropriate. The Vanuatu Curriculum Improvement Program is aimed at enhancing the quality of education from kindergarten to year 10. Focusing on improving curriculum delivery, equipping teachers with effective strategies, and providing students with tools they need to succeed.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
