We’re looking for a Curriculum Developer who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Vanuatu.
- This assignment seeks to develop a set of curriculum for Animal Science, Plant Science and Agri-business courses offered at the College, that suites the context of Vanuatu ad region for our certificate 3, 4 and Diploma courses, and also to develop a degree program, and to provide capacity building for staff in curriculum development and processes
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Master Degree in Curriculum Development and Education, demonstrated experiences in curriculum development and processes, knowledge and skills in agriculture development, knowledge of agri-business and industries
- You will be working alongside the college training team consisted of 13 trainers under the supervision of the Deputy Director- Academic
About the Partner Organisation
The Vanuatu Agriculture College (VAC) is established by government to assist its long-term development strategies in promoting agriculture for food security and economic growth. 80% of the country population who are living in rural areas live and work on their land as subsistence farmers. VAC role is to provide recognised qualifications in appropriate skills and knowledge for the new generation of farmers in farming and agri-business to increase the sector production and contribution towards the nation economic growth. The college provides an opportunity for farmers and rural people to improve their production and make viable living from their farms. The goal is to Graduate Qualified Competent inclusive and Entrepreneurial Agriculture Technicians and Professionals. The college is currently working closely with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Education to accomplish that goal. The College is currently offering Certificate 3 & 4 courses and a Diploma course in Agriculture since June 2024

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
