We’re looking for a Communications Support Officer who can live and volunteer for 8 months in Vanuatu
- This assignment seeks to transfer complicated legal reviews into more simplistic language and graphs.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a bachelor of journalism or political science
- You will be working alongside a newly recruited Communications Officer.
About the Partner Organisation
The Vanuatu Law Reform Commission is a Statutory Organization of the Vanuatu Government established to review the outdated laws of the Republic of Vanuatu. The VLRC also has the mandate to undertake new initiatives to implement the legal mandate of the Organization, it is based in Port Vila.
A volunteer would assist to ensure that the visibility of the VLRC is enhanced by publishing their reports on the VLRC website, the volunteer will also assist the Communications Officer to publish newspaper articles on the work undertaken by the Commission and also report on consultations out in the field. The website has not been updated since 2018.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
