We’re looking for a Behaviour Therapist who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Nepal.
- This assignment seeks to To provide high-quality behaviour therapy services tailored to the unique psycho-social developmental needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need A bachelor's degree in behaviour therapy, psychology, counselling, social work, or a related field. Specialised training in ASD is highly desirable.
- As a volunteer, you will train and mentor teachers, caregivers, staff and aspiring professionals, providing them with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively support children with ASD
About the Partner Organisation
The National Autism Care Center Society Nepal (NACCSN), registered with the Kailali District Administration Office in 2022 in Sudurpaschim (far west) Province, is committed to supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It actively works to address their educational and developmental needs. NACCSN provides tailored educational interventions to support the academic and social development of children with ASD, ensuring equal access to education and opportunities to reach their potential. This volunteer assignment is crucial to the organisation as it addresses a significant gap in professional expertise needed to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), particularly in behaviour therapy. Behaviour therapy is essential for improving individual responses to specific situations, enhancing communication skills, fostering social interactions, and achieving developmental milestones in children with ASD.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1630 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens.
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
