Recognising the Global Volunteer Accelerator workstream in the Philippines

To celebrate the conclusion of National Volunteer Month in the Philippines, the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) conducted a Partnership Building and Appreciation Ceremony on 28 December 2022 at the Benguet State University, La Trinidad, Benguet.

The Australian Volunteers Program was invited to attend, where it received an award that recognized the Innovation Hub's efforts in supporting the National Volunteerism Research Agenda (NVRA), an initiative of the Philippine Government. The NVRA was developed through a workshop held on 22 May 2022, as part of the Program’s Global Volunteer Accelerator workstream.

The Australian Volunteers Program was represented by Nathan Revilla and Andrea Riño to receive the award. PNVSCA Director, Mr. Donald James Gawe, presented the award. The program was one of the two International Volunteer Sending Organisations (IVSO) in the Philippines to receive the recognition.
