We’re looking for a Television Management Mentor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Solomon Islands.


  • This assignment seeks to strengthen the technical, editorial and leadership capabilities of SIBC staff
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need tertiary qualification in Journalism, Media, Broadcasting or in a related field
  • Provide support in improving the quality, relevance and audience impact of television content, with focus on current affairs

About the partner organisation 

The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation (SIBC) is the national broadcaster of Solomon Islands. It was established to provide a high-quality broadcasting service, by radio and television, featuring a wide range of programs for the information, education and entertainment of all people living within Solomon Islands.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include obtaining a First Aid Certificate.
