We’re looking for a Teacher Upgrade Project Mentor who can live and volunteer for 10 months in Port Moresby, National Capital District, Papua New Guinea.

  • This assignment seeks to support the building of long-term local capacity by developing sustainable systems and processes that enable HEIs to manage sub-contracts and deliver quality teacher education programs independently.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education, Education Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • As a volunteer, you will work closely with project teams to develop detailed work plans, timelines, and monitoring tools that support smooth program delivery and effective coordination of activities

About the Partner Organisation

A skilled volunteer is needed to support this initiative by providing project management expertise to one of the institutions, the PNG Education Institute (PNGEI). The volunteer will provide strategic guidance, strengthen systems, and build long-term local capacity for effective diploma delivery, covering project coordination, financial management, and operational planning. The volunteer will also provide broader capacity development support across the three institutions where possible and appropriate for them to share program delivery approaches.
