We’re looking for a Sustainable Farming Officer who can live and volunteer for 12 months in the Philippines.

  • This assignment seeks to establish sustainable agricultural practices, promote inclusive farming, and improve food security while conserving the local environment.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need proven experience in agriculture or land resource management, and a strong understanding of sustainable farming practices.
  • As a volunteer, you will support land development, farm planning and inclusive training for Deaf and local communities.

About the Partner Organisation

Welcome Home Foundation, Inc. (WHFI) is a non-profit based in Bacolod City, Philippines, supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing children through education, vocational training, and community engagement. Since 1995, WHFI has been a leader in promoting Filipino Sign Language (FSL) and holistic support for Deaf learners and their families.

WHFI is seeking a volunteer to fill a critical skills gap in sustainable agriculture and land management, to develop a food-producing farm that supports their long-term goals for community empowerment and resilience amid the challenges of climate change.
