Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) is looking for a Strategic Partnerships and Funding Mentor who can live and volunteer for 6 months in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.


  • This assignment seeks to support local staff in developing strategic partnership plans and systems for sourcing funding opportunities, completing competitive applications, strengthening donor communications, and ensuring effective reporting practices.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need an experience in fundraising and/or grant writing.
  • As a volunteer, you will support the local staff to build a database of funding prospects, including expansion of corporate partnerships and possible schemes.

About the Partner Organisation 

BAWA is a non-profit organization based in Bali, Indonesia. Our Mission is to put compassion into action and create sustainable change for all animals in Bali, and our Vision is for each village in Bali to be its own natural sanctuary for animals, where all lives are valued equally and treated with kindness and respect. Our work and programs aim to tackle animal welfare issues from all sides, directly relieving animal suffering, and influencing a positive shift in attitudes and behaviours towards animals to prevent cruelty before it occurs.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments. 

Additional requirements include a First Aid Certificate
