We’re looking for a Storyteller & Content Creating Mentor who can volunteer in a Hybrid role both remotely (online from home) then in country for a total of 7 months.

  • As a volunteer, you will support the team to share the stories of QAWC members who have accessed QAWC services, programs and projects.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a degree in Communications, Marketing or relevant field and demonstrated experience in storytelling and content creation.
  • Provide support to ensure that the Leadership team is represented online through interviews and profiles.

About the Partner Organisation 

The QuadPara Association Western Cape (QAWC) is a non-profit organisation (NPO) of Quadriplegics and Paraplegics, based in Capetown. It offers a number of services to build the capacity of members and works towards a more inclusive context. With members in various communities across the province of the Western Cape QAWC has a range of programs, projects and services which aim to assist quadriplegics and paraplegics to reach their full potential.  

This assignment will support the team to increase the partner organisation’s visibility on social media as well as the World Wide Web. Their profile as the “go to” organisation for quadriplegics and paraplegics will be highlighted as will that of the three residential care facilities that fall under their umbrella. Additional funding will be generated by the campaign for QAWC to assist with sustainability.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 2,662 per month, the allowance for the part time remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include attaining a First Aid Certificate.
