Stakeholder Engagement and Ethical Research Mentor

We’re looking for a Stakeholder Engagement and Ethical Research Mentor who can live and volunteer for 6 months in Fiji.

• This assignment seeks to strengthen TPIAAA's capacity to engage and collaborate effectively with government, industry, community, NGO and international stakeholders across the Pacific
• You will be working alongside TPIAAA members, including animal welfare organisations, veterinary professionals, government and community stakeholders to strengthen regional collaboration and support inclusive, ethical and locally-led engagement across the Pacific
• As a volunteer, you will support TPIAAA members with stakeholder engagement, consultation and facilitation activities, including developing engagement tools, supporting multi-stakeholder meetings and promoting culturally respectful, inclusive and ethical approaches to research and information sharing

About the partner organisation 

Animals Fiji is a registered Fiji charity focused on improving animal welfare and access to veterinary services across the country. It operated permanent veterinary clinics in Nadi, Lautoka, Labasa and Savusavu, while also providing rescue, treatment and rehoming services for stray, injured and abused animals. A key focus of their work is reducing stray dog and cat populations through desexing programs, alongside promoting accessible veterinary care and animal welfare education within Fijian communities. Animals Fiji is also involved in the Pacific Islands Animal Advocacy Alliance (TPIAAA), a Pacific-led regional network working to strengthen companion animal health, workforce capacity, population management and evidence-informed policy across Pacific Island countries.
