We’re looking for a Social Media and Website Support Officer who can volunteer remotely from home for 6 months.

  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need qualification in Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field, with training or demonstrated experience in digital content creation, social media management, or website development."

About the Partner Organisation

Mustard Seed Global (PNG) is an Australian-registered charity working in some of the most remote and underserved communities in Papua New Guinea, including areas with little to no access to basic healthcare. The organisation is governed by a PNG-based Board, with its medical teams and project coordinator reporting to an Australian CEO, ensuring culturally responsive and locally informed leadership.

Our mission is to reduce preventable suffering and death by delivering innovative, community-based healthcare through the Bush Angels mobile medical clinic program. We collaborate closely with local health authorities, village leaders, and community volunteers to provide primary care services and early cancer detection using tools like ultrasound-guided biopsies and same-day cervical cancer diagnosis and treatment via GeneXpert technology. We also screen for eye conditions such as retinoblastoma, glaucoma, and cataracts. We seek to address the widespread problem that people present to a health facility too late for effective treatment for cancers, diabetes, and other diseases. As we look ahead, our goal is to deepen partnerships with local health systems and scale our mobile medical outreach, ensuring more remote communities across Papua New Guinea have access to life-saving diagnostics and care.

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to support us remotely with social media and website management. The role involves creating engaging content, improving our digital platforms, and helping us communicate the real-world impact of our work. Due to limited local capacity and the specialised nature of this work, we are unable to fill this role within PNG. The volunteer will report directly to the CEO and collaborate with a small, committed team working across both PNG and Australia.
