We’re looking for a Scrub Nurse who can live and volunteer for 3 months in Cambodia.
- This assignment seeks to improve the skills of in-house Operating Theatre Nurses in Surgical Oncology
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need Bachelor Degree in Nursing Science or above specializing in Surgery and Oncology
- As a volunteer, you will support Improve quality assurance protocols for treatment planning and patient safety in Operation theatre and surgical ward
About the Partner Organisation
Luang Mè Hospital is the first specialized cancer hospital in Cambodia. The hospital will serve as tertiary healthcare facilities for public to support the health policy of the royal government of Cambodia. We aim to provide a leading cancer care and management with comprehensive approach including radiation therapy, surgery, chemotherapy, advanced technology in microbiology and pathology. In order to improve surgical oncology nursing skills, the volunteer scrub nurse will collaborate with the hospital's operating room staff in three key areas such as Practical Clinical Education, -Transfer of Knowledge and Development of Capacity and Development of Protocols and Quality Assurance

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
