We’re looking for a Resource Mobilisation/Grants Acquisition Specialist who can live and volunteer for 12 months in the Philippines.


  • This assignment seeks to strengthen Educo Philippines’ fundraising capacity by developing resource mobilisation strategies, improving grant proposal quality, and expanding donor engagement.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Social Sciences or a related field, and 3–5 years’ experience in grants acquisition, donor relations, and project development in INGOs or development settings.
  • As a volunteer, you will support resource mobilisation planning, funding opportunity identification, proposal development, and staff capacity building in donor engagement and grant writing.

About the Partner Organisation

Fundación Educación y Cooperación (Educo) is an international development and humanitarian NGO with its Philippine country office based in Legazpi City. Educo promotes child rights and equitable access to education and protection through cooperation programs across Region V (Bicol), working closely with schools, local governments, and communities.

Educo is seeking a volunteer to enhance the organisational capacity in navigating global funding mechanisms and expanding its donor base, which are essential to ensure the continuity and growth of its child-focused initiatives.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
