We’re looking for a Research Developer who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 8 months.
- This assignment seeks conduct intensive workshops to review future direction of the the Department of Sociology and Social Work
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need Social science Ph.D degree, (Sociology and Social work preferred).
- As a volunteer, you will support in strengthening research writing capacity of the team.
About the Partner Organisation
The National University of Mongolia has six schools one of which is the School of Arts and Science. The Department of Sociology and Social Work within the School of Arts and Science has 19 faculty and more than 240 bachelor and 80 graduate level students. Six of our professors studied their graduate degree in Australia, USA, Belgium, France and three professors studied in Russia. This placement is to continue mentoring faculty at the National University of Mongolia, Department of Sociology and Social Work to connect with the international academic community through publishing their research. Progress has been made over three years and now there is a need for high level skills to consolidate progress. Working with the volunteer, university faculty can refine their skills in international publishing, disseminating their research internationally, and forming collaborations. This enables cultural learning and enhance relationships between our two countries.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
- First Aid Certificate.
