We’re looking for a Quality assurance Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 4 months. 

  • This assignment seeks to provide training to enable staff responsible for internal quality assurance on how to effectively ensure and organize internal quality assurance in the TVET sector, and organize training in this area for school management, teachers and staff members. 
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need to be an expert in quality assurance. 
  • As a volunteer, you will conduct comparative research on TVET school's curricula with international curricula and introduce it to ULPC to develop the curricula.

About the Partner Organisation 

Ulaangom Polytechnic College is in Uvs province which is located in the western part of Mongolia,1450km far from the capital city Ulaanbaatar. It is only vocational school in the region and established as Agricultural technical and vocational school in 1971. There are 122 teachers and administrative and service staff and about 700 students in 3 different level of education at the college. Most students /15-17 years old/ study in vocational education courses, students aged above 18, who graduate high school enter the technical education courses, and the third one is the vocational training courses for both teens and adults. The new vision of the school is "To become an internationally recognised school for the competence of the students". This time we would like to work on the internal quality assurance of the school so we need an expert who has enough experiences working in this area. The expert must have the background for several years or someone who is confident in this field. The expert will work with around 8 members of the project team, organize trainings and workshops in the field of quality assurance and share experiences.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1790 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
