We’re looking for a Project Support Officer who can live and volunteer for 5 months in Mongolia.

  • This assignment seeks to Develop a strategic procurement framework for COP-17 and renewable energy initiatives.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Master’s degree in Business Administration, or related field and a Professional certification in procurement CIPS or equivalent experience. 
  • Provide support in Support programme development and partnership building.

About the Partner Organisation 

UNDP Mongolia is part of the United Nations Development Programme, operating across Mongolia to support sustainable development, democratic governance, and climate resilience. The Country Office works closely with national and local institutions, civil society, and international partners to deliver programs that address Mongolia’s unique development challenges, including land degradation, climate change, and socio-economic inequality.This assignment is critical for UNDP Mongolia as the country prepares to host COP-17 in 2026 and advance renewable energy initiatives. Procurement plays a central role in ensuring the successful delivery of event logistics, ICT systems, and sustainability-certified equipment. A well-designed procurement strategy will enable UNDP to meet global sustainability standards, strengthen institutional capacity, and support Mongolia’s transition toward a green economy

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
