We’re looking for a Project Management Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) for 4 months initially then in-country in Tanzania for 8 months.

  • You would provide support to enhance project management skills across the team which will be key to ensuring the ongoing success and sustainability in their work.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need Education qualification in project management or related field Experience in using project management tools, including MEL to improve performance in managing projects.
  • As a volunteer, you will work on building staff capability in line with international best practices in stakeholder engagement, communication, planning, quality assurance, budgeting, and reporting, essential for the successful delivery of more complex projects.

About the Partner Organisation

So They Can (STC), based in Arusha, focuses on education with existing programs developed to provide quality education to children living in poverty. They do this through working on improved learning conditions, teacher training, child development, and women’s empowerment. In 2025, the organisation partnered with 34 government schools.

STC continues to grow and expand its project reach, but has maintained the same staffing levels. While the current team brings valuable experience, they are primarily accustomed to managing smaller-scale projects. This has created a pressing need to strengthen internal capacity particularly in project management so as to effectively support the organisation’s growth. Due to challenges in recruiting local professionals with the required level of expertise, So They Can is seeking support from someone with international experience who can share knowledge and build the capacity of the team.
