About the Partner Organisation

The Boroko Rotary Club is a well-established chapter of Rotary International, based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. With a long history of community service, the club operates across the National Capital District and supports initiatives that benefit communities throughout the country.

Our aim is to promote sustainable development and social impact through projects in health, education, clean water, economic empowerment, and youth engagement. We work closely with other Rotary clubs, government bodies, non-governmental organizations, and community leaders to design and implement initiatives that address pressing local needs. The club is made up of a diverse group of professionals and volunteers committed to the Rotary ideal of “Service Above Self.”

A skilled volunteer through the Australian Volunteers Program (AVP) can provide the technical knowledge, experience, and dedicated time needed to lead this transformation. Due to the voluntary nature of the club and limited availability of its members, there are capacity gaps that cannot be filled locally. The volunteer will play a vital role in designing systems, mentoring members, and building capacity across governance, operations, and engagement - contributions that would be difficult to achieve without external support.

About the Australian Volunteers Program

Volunteers are supported throughout their volunteer journey. We actively support and encourage people of all backgrounds and abilities to volunteer and aim to make the program as accessible and inclusive as possible. If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us to discuss how we can support you to volunteer with us - inclusion@australianvolunteers.com. Learn more about our commitment to inclusion.
