We’re looking for a Program Development Mentorwho can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 7 months.

  • This assignment seeks to develop and standardise Hearts for Hue's training materials
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a degree in International Development, Education, Economics, Gender Studies, or a related field.
  • As a volunteer, you will deliver capacity-building workshops to women participants in project areas.

About the Partner Organisation 

Hearts for Hue works to improve the lives of resettled villagers living in Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam, through community development programs focused on health, education, sanitation, water access, environmental awareness, and household economic development. These programs impact communities by approaching social issues, such as poverty and physical or mental disabilities, by creating economic opportunity and increasing community support. Programs are focused on improving the lives of women, children, and individuals living with disabilities. This assignment focuses on the development, delivery, and evaluation of gender-sensitive and culturally appropriate training programs aimed at strengthening the financial literacy, decision-making, and leadership capacities of women in targeted project areas. The role involves reviewing existing training materials, standardizing new modules, and facilitating capacity-building workshops on topics such as financial management, debt prevention, budgeting, savings, and microfinance. In addition to delivering the training, the assignment includes monitoring and evaluation activities to assess effectiveness and gather lessons learned.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
