Friends of The National Parks Foundation (FNPF) is looking for aPermaculture Project Mentorwho canlive and volunteer for six months in Tabanan, Bali, Indonesia.


  • This assignment seeks to develop tailored training programs, strengthen community collaboration, and to enhance biodiversity conservation.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a degree in agriculture or related field, two years’ experience in plantation management, proven experience in managing agricultural project. Expertise in Tropical Farming systems encompasses a comprehensive understanding of agricultural practices and ecological principles specific to tropical regions.
  • As a volunteer, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing training programs tailored to empower young people, fostering sustainable agricultural practices, and ensuring the long-term preservation of biodiversity and food security in the region.


About the Partner Organisation 

FNPF has a holistic, balanced, and comprehensive approach that recognizes the intrinsic interrelatedness of human beings, our fellow creatures, and the environment. As a small but active nonprofit, FNPF focuses on grassroots issues and frontline conservation. We work in cooperation with many groups and individuals including researchers, local communities, government, customary and cultural groups, international volunteers, and the global conservation community.

Our projects stress practical conservation bolstered by community development in its working areas. Our mission is to develop and implement best management practices to reach the long-term goal of sustainable conservation and balancing local communities with their environment.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements include a First Aid Certificate
