We’re looking for a On-site Intensivist Trainer who can live and volunteer for 2 months in Samoa


  • This assignment seeks to provide training and mentoring for their doctors in the department,
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need to be a Qualified intensivist (adult or pediatric)
  • As a volunteer, you will support identifying gaps in the current model of care and help develop local protocols and guidelines 

 

About the Partner Organisation 

The mission of MOH Samoa is to provide safe and efficient patient centred health care services with the aim of assisting people to meet their health care needs for an optimum level of health and well-being. The Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital (TTMH) in Apia is the national referral hospital for Samoa and houses a 7 bed Intensive Care unit that manages critically ill patients and can do invasive ventilation, invasive procedures (central venous lines, arterial lines) and acute haemodialysis

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
