We’re looking for a Nursing Mentor (Public Health) who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 9 months.
- This assignment seeks to contribute to the improvement of nursing program and enhance the teaching, professional and practical skills
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Degree in nursing and experience in teaching nurses.
- As a volunteer, you will support the local faculty members to improve research skills and be aware of the research findings of international best practice.
About the Partner Organisation
Dornogobi province is located in the eastern Gobi desert steppe, on the Trans-Mongolian Railway, 463 km from Ulaanbaatar (center of Mongolia). Dornogobi Medical School is located in Sainshand city (capital of Dornogobi province) Dornogobi province. It was founded with 5 programs, 120 students, 9 teachers, and 12 staff workers in 1962. Our mission is to become a leading university that integrates research, education, and healthcare services for matching local, national, and international demands and needs and provide the skillful, knowledgeable, and socially competitive healthcare specialists. We need a volunteer to improve professional skills of teachers and enhance clinical practical knowledge of students as well as supporting international professional network. We expect the Australian volunteer to review the curriculum and provide feedback for improvement to meet the international standard. Also the volunteer will closely work with the local faculty member for co-teaching and improve the teaching, professional and practical skills. This branch of MNUMS is located in the eastern part of the country and has a lack of international expertise and exchange opportunities.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 79 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 1790 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
- First Aid Certificate is required.
