About the partner organization

CARE International in Timor-Leste is a humanitarian and development organisation headquartered in Dili, with programs operating across all 13 municipalities of Timor-Leste.

CARE has been working in Timor-Leste since 1994 to address poverty and social injustice, with a strong focus on gender equality and women's empowerment. The organisation partners with communities, civil society organisations, government institutions, and development partners to deliver programs in disaster preparedness and response, education, sexual and reproductive health and rights, economic empowerment, and capacity strengthening.

CARE requires a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) volunteer to strengthen its capacity to collect, analyse, and use evidence to improve program quality, accountability, and impact. The volunteer will support the organisation's commitment to inclusive and sustainable development by enhancing MEL systems, supporting data-driven decision-making, and ensuring that gender equality, disability inclusion, and community-led development outcomes are effectively monitored and reported.
