We’re looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework Advisor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 10 months.

  • This assignment seeks to strengthen the Ministry's MEL capability by supporting the development of a robust MEL Framework for the Fiji Poverty Alleviation Strategy Framework and help improve accountability, measure outcomes and guide evidence-based decision making
  • As a volunteer, you will support capacity strengthening, technical mentoring and knowledge transfer by working alongside Ministry staff to co-design MEL systems, tools and processes and strengthen their skills in monitoring, data analysis and evaluation
  • Work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through strengthening systems that support poverty reduction, social protection and inclusion, while improving the Ministry's ability to monitor progress and outcomes for all vulnerable groups

About the partner organisation

The Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection's Poverty Monitoring Unit (PMU) is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and reporting on Government poverty alleviation programmes across Fiji. The PMU works closely with government ministries, development partners and non-state organisations to ensure programmes effectively reach vulnerable communities and contribute to reducing poverty and improving wellbeing. A current priority for the Unit is the development of a MEL Framework to support implementation of the Fiji Poverty Alleviation Strategy Framework (FPASF) 2026 - 2035.
