- To be considered for this role, you’ll need Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.

About the Partner Organisation
World Vision Papua New Guinea (WVPNG) is a Christian humanitarian and development organisation with its head office based in Port Moresby. It implements core area programs in the provinces of Madang, Morobe, Southern Highlands, and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, while maintaining a presence in other provinces through partnerships and smaller-scale interventions.
WVPNG aims to improve the well-being of children, families, and communities by addressing the root causes of poverty and injustice. The organisation works closely with local communities, government agencies, faith-based groups, and international partners to deliver programs in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education, health, economic development, and disaster resilience. Its work is guided by Christian principles and a commitment to inclusion, accountability, and community empowerment.
Due to the specialised technical nature of this role, the position cannot be filled locally. A volunteer with international or cross-sectoral experience will provide targeted support, introduce global best practices, and mentor local staff to enhance long-term institutional capacity. The volunteer will work closely with WVPNG teams to embed climate-smart solutions into program design, implementation, and monitoring.
