Learning Support Teacher Mentor - High School

We’re looking for a Learning Support Teacher Mentor for High School who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Niue.

• As a volunteer, you will help to design and implement learning tasks and activities tailored to meet the individual needs of students. You will also share practical tools, strategies, and resources that promote inclusive classroom practices.
• To be considered for this role, you’ll need Bachelor’s degree in Education, and/or Special Education and Experience working with children with diverse learning needs in a school or community setting.
• You will be working alongside the team to also support the organisation of extra-curricular and play activities that promote social inclusion and teamwork.

The Department of Education in Niue provides and sustains quality, relevant, and balanced education services for all children and people of Niue. It’s mission is to support the nation’s vision of a harmonious, healthy, and educated community that thrives through access to quality social services and development opportunities.

The volunteer would provide support to teachers who work with students that have a disability or mental health conditions. They will also provide support to other education professionals at the Niue High School to assist with the education requirements of students with special learning needs.
