We’re looking for an IT Mentor who can live and volunteer for 24 months in Timor-Leste.
- This assignment seeks to achieve meaningful economic development in Timor-Leste while gaining hands-on experience in inclusive finance, community engagement, and grassroots innovation.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, training or certification in cybersecurity or IT governance, and UX/UI design.
- You will be working alongside with IT team and the Operations team
- As a volunteer, you will support in facilitating consultations, participating in strategic meetings, mentoring local staff, and developing practical tools that align IT strategy with business priorities and community impact.
About the Partner Organisation
Kaebauk is one of the largest private sector employers in Timor-Leste with a total staff of more than 300 as end of December 2020. Most of our services are provided in rural areas as we focus our financial services to the unbanked low-income entrepreneurs. By doing so, we believe that we will be able to contribute to sustainable economic growth in the country. Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of a Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
