We’re looking for an Internal Auditor and Revenue Assurance Officer who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Tonga.


  • This assignment seeks to strengthen the organisation's internal audit capacity and practices and enhance governance, risk management and internal controls.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Degree in Finance, Auditing or IT with at least 5 years of experience in internal auditing.
  • As a volunteer, you will build staff capacity to ensure there are sustainable auditing practices in place.

About the Partner Organisation 

The Tonga Communications Corporation (TCC), located in Fasi moe Afi within Nuku’alofa the capital of Tonga, and is owned by the Tongan Government. It is registered as a Public Enterprise and aspires to become "Tonga’s First Choice in Digital Communication Needs." This vision reinforces their strategic focus on delivering high performance network services and optimizing exceptional customer service.

TCC is looking for a qualified volunteer internal auditor who can provide essential support to the organisation by offering independent, professional auditing expertise, strengthening internal control processes, and ensuring compliance with best practices and international auditing standards. Their experience will help enhance risk management, governance, and operational efficiency across TCC’s systems and procedures

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include providing or attaining a First Aid Certificate.
