We’re looking for an Inclusive Programs Mentor (Sports) who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Lesotho.
- This assignment seeks to offer technical guidance, mentorship, and capacity building to LNFOD to design and establish LNFOD’s first inclusive sports program.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need qualifications in Sports Management, Recreation, Community Development, or a related field and proven experience in program coordination and event management with a knowledge of adaptive sports.
- As a volunteer, you will support the increase the participation of persons with disabilities athletes in competitive sports.
About the Partner Organisation
The Lesotho National Federation of Organisations of the Disabled (LNFOD), based in Maseru, is the national umbrella body representing organisations of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Lesotho. It works to promote and advocate for the rights and inclusion of all PWDs throughout the country. LNFOD's core aim is to support the empowerment of its member organisations and the wider disability community through advocacy, capacity building, and programmatic interventions.
This assignment aims to support the establishment of LNFOD’s first inclusive sports program from the ground up. The program will promote active participation of people with disabilities in sports activities, building a foundation for future initiatives and partnerships.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include providing or attaining a First Aid Certificate.
