We’re looking for a ICU Nurse Specialist who can live and volunteer for 2 months in Samoa.
- This assignment seeks to contribute in providing assistance and guidance to local ICU Nurses.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- You will be working alongside ICU Nurses and whole team.
About the Partner Organisation
The Ministry of Health, located at Motootua, in it's mission statement, "To provide safe. efficient patient centered health service". This assignment supports the Ministry of Health's Intensive Care Unit by strengthening collaborative clinical practice, mentorship and professional exchange withing the ICU nursing workforce. The assignment is grounded in partnership, recognizing the skills, experience and commitment of local ICU nurses, while creating opportunities for shared learning and capacity strengthening.
The in-country volunteer will work alongside the ICU nursing team in a collegial and supportive manner, contributing specialist knowledge where appropriate and responding to locally identified priorities. This approach supports safe, high-quality critical care and strengthens team confidence, clinical reasoning, and coordination of care for complex and critically ill patients.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
