About the Partner Organisation
National St John Ambulance Papua New Guinea (NStJA PNG) is the national statutory ambulance service established under the National St John Council Act. The organisation delivers pre-hospital emergency care, ambulance transport, and primary health services across multiple provinces, including the National Capital District, Central, Morobe, East New Britain, and Eastern Highlands. With a workforce of over 300 staff and contractors, NStJA PNG serves both urban centres and remote communities, ensuring access to timely and lifesaving care.
NStJA PNG aims to provide high-quality, accessible emergency medical services and strengthen health outcomes across Papua New Guinea. The organisation works closely with government agencies, hospitals, provincial health authorities, and community stakeholders to deliver coordinated and patient-centred care. Through partnerships and collaboration, NStJA PNG supports emergency response systems, community health initiatives, and capacity building within the health sector.
An ICT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture Mentor will work alongside NStJA PNG’s leadership to assess the current ICT landscape, define a target-state architecture, and co-develop a practical, multi-year implementation roadmap. This specialised expertise is not currently available within the organisation, and the scale and complexity of the transformation exceed the capacity of existing staff who are focused on operational delivery. The volunteer will share knowledge, build internal capability, and support a sustainable, locally owned approach to digital transformation.
