We’re looking for a Hospitality Management Academic Mentor who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 4.5 months.
- This assignment seeks to Enhance the quality and international orientation of Hospitality Management and Tourism English programs through capacity building of faculty and curriculum development.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Master’s degree or higher in Hospitality and a minimum a year of experience in teaching English, subjects relating to Hospitality Management.
- As a volunteer, you will support to Strengthen students’ professional, language, and intercultural competencies for careers in sustainable hospitality and tourism.
About the Partner Organisation
Located in Hue – the city of tourism in Vietnam – the School of Hospitality and Tourism is an ideal environment for tourism training, combining theory with practice. With the mission of “training and providing high-quality tourism human resources, researching and transferring science and technology in the field of tourism in the Central Highlands and the whole country; meeting the requirements of industrialization, modernization and international integration,” the school always focuses on the quality of training, scientific research, and international cooperation.The School of Hospitality and Tourism offers a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, which equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to work in various areas of tourism, restaurant, and hotel services. In addition to introductory courses on hospitality management, students receive specialized knowledge in hospitality services, restaurant management, and human resource management, among others. The volunteer assignment is significant for the School because the training program is delivered in English. Furthermore, having an Australian volunteer lecturer contributes an international perspective to the global contexts covered in the program.

We cover your flights, insurance, and provide a living and accommodation allowance. Learn more here
There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1996 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
Additional requirements for this assignment include First Aid Certificate.
