Hospital Management Mentor

We’re looking for a Hospital Management Mentor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in the Federated States of Micronesia.

• As a volunteer in the department you would support the team in hospital management and health strategy to ensure meaningful impact.
• To be considered for the role you will need a Bachelor degree or higher in Health Administration or Management, Human Resources, Business Management or similar field, along with extensive experience working in a hospital setting.
• Provide mentoring to staff to support the improvement of operations, management performances and services offering the team a different perspective.

About the partner organisation 

The Kosrae State Department of Health & Social Services if one of the 4 general departments of the state government under the Executive Branch. The Director is charged with the authority to oversee the key operations and services of the health department on behalf of the state government. The team works at the state hospital which is located in Tofol, Kosrae.

Currently there is a need for technical support due to a shortage of local expertise in the areas of Human Resources, Strategic Planning and Implementation and Monitoring & Evaluation. They are hoping to have the support of a subject matter expert with critical institutional knowledge and experience.
