About the Partner Organisation

The Key Population Advocacy Consortium (KPAC) is a national coalition based in Papua New Guinea that advocates for the rights, health, and well-being of key and affected populations. Established in 2018, KPAC works across the country and brings together seven national networks representing marginalized communities, including men of diverse sexualities (Kapul Champions), female sex workers (Friends Frangipani), transgender individuals (Hetura Network Association), people living with HIV (Igat Hope PNG), young key populations (Youth LEAD PNG), and people affected by tuberculosis (Community TB Advocacy).

KPAC’s mission is to amplify the voices of these populations, influence inclusive policies and programs, and provide strategic leadership. The consortium works closely with community networks, government agencies, civil society, and development partners to reduce stigma and discrimination, improve access to health services, and promote human rights. KPAC fosters meaningful engagement through advocacy, capacity building, and resource mobilization.

As a hybrid assignment, the volunteer will provide both remote and in-country support, offering flexibility while ensuring close collaboration with the KPAC team. The volunteer will help operationalise an existing resource mobilisation strategy, provide tailored coaching, and embed practical tools to strengthen internal systems. This technical expertise is not readily available locally, and the hybrid approach ensures access to international knowledge and mentorship, while remaining cost-effective and contextually grounded.
