We’re looking for a Grant Writing and Donor Engagement Mentor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Tonga.
- This assignment seeks to enhance the organizations ability to secure external funding for major infrastructure projects and is essential to improve governance, service delivery and community development in Vava'u.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a degree in International Development, Public Administration or related field with experience in project development and donor relations.
- As a volunteer, you will support in capacity building of staff in relation to researching for donors and identifying opportunities for major infrastructure projects.
About the partner organisation
The Governor’s Office of Vava’u is located in the centre of Neiafu Town. The office oversees the overall leadership and coordinates the activities of the Government Ministries and Departments for the social, economic, environmental, and political development of the people of Vava’u.
The volunteer will provide valuable expertise in fundraising, proposal writing, and donor engagement skills. This will enhancethe ability to secure external funding for major infrastructure projects.

Requirements
- All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV).
- A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.
- A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
