About the partner organisation

The Bali Sruti Foundation was established in 2004 in Denpasar as a civil society organization based in Bali, with a focus on gender equality, women in politics, and diversity. In 2022, Bali Sruti updated its legal status to become Yayasan Bali Sruti Denpasar, continuing its work on gender justice, diversity, women in politics, and social inclusion. Currently, Bali Sruti is focused on strengthening the capacity of grassroots women’s communities at the village level in Denpasar, with a GEDSI (Gender, Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion)-based approach, in collaboration with the Institute KAPAL Perempuan.

Bali Sruti aims to promote the creation of a just, equitable, and inclusive society, especially for women, children, and marginalized groups. Bali Sruti does not work in isolation but collaborates with communities, civil society organization networks, academics, and other stakeholders in the development of knowledge, policies, and social practices that are gender-just and inclusive.

Currently, Bali Sruti is building its role as a knowledge-based and research-driven organization focused on Gender, Diversity, and Inclusion. In line with this, Bali Sruti aims to target the enhancement of its internal capacity in professional English, with the ability to conduct GEDSI-based research on gender, diversity, and inclusion in Indonesia, in order to expand the impact of the organization’s work at the local, national, and international levels.
