We’re looking for a Fundraising & Donor Engagement Officer who can volunteer in a hybrid role initially remotely (online from home) for 3 months then in country for 6 months.

  • This assignment seeks to support the team to strengthen TEDI’s fundraising strategy and pipeline.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a qualification in Business Administration, International Development, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, as well as experience developing fundraising strategies, pipelines, and CRM tracking systems.
  • Provide support in improving proposal development and donor communication, and support the setting up of systems for donor tracking and stewardship.

About the Partner Organisation 

Tanzania Enlightenment Development Innovations (TEDI) is a Tanzanian nonprofit organisation working to advance equitable access to quality education through digital innovation. TEDI operates primarily in underserved and low-income communities across Tanzania, with active programs in both urban and rural districts. Their work is embedded within public primary and secondary schools, where they collaborate closely with local authorities, school leadership, and communities to strengthen education systems from the ground up. TEDI’s aim is to equip children and youth with foundational literacy, numeracy, digital, and employability skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

The Fundraising and Donor Engagement Officer volunteer role is critical to TEDI’s ability to support them to implement and scale its strategic plan. The volunteer will work with the team to help the organisation to be able to expand digital learning programs and foundational education initiatives across underserved communities, sustainable and diversified funding becomes essential. Helping to strengthen donor engagement, build a strong funding pipeline, and improve grant management systems to enable TEDI to maintain program quality, reach more schools, and ensure long-term impact.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1,845 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
