We’re looking for an English Teacher who can can volunteer remotely from home for 3 months.

  • This assignment seeks to strengthen language capacity and pronunciation for teachers.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need Advanced degrees in related fields (Education, English, Linguistics)
  • As a volunteer, you will support to lay the foundation for English language activities and resources.

About the partner organisation

Mientrung Industry and Trade College (MITC) was established on August 1st, 1978, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Located in Tuy Hoa City, Đăk Lăk Province, the college has over 45 years of history in providing multi-disciplinary training for the South-Central Coast and Central Highlands of Vietnam. Currently, the organization employs 160 people. MITC aims to train and foster human resources with high technical qualifications in fields such as geological engineering, chemical engineering, IT, electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, and economics. This assignment is vital for improving the phonetic accuracy and communication confidence at MITC. Currently, local teachers and students face challenges with correct English pronunciation, which is essential for effective international cooperation. A volunteer can provide authentic language models and professional assessment that are difficult to find locally in Tuy Hoa. They will act as a catalyst for English activities, providing the "native-level" input that local staff currently cannot replicate. The volunteer will have the opportunity to work within a long-standing vocational education institution and engage with dedicated technical faculty.
