English Proficiency Trainer

We’re looking for an English language proficiency Trainer who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 4 months. 

• This assignment seeks to improve the English language and teaching skills of local teachers 
• To be considered for this role, you’ll need at least 3 years of working experience in teaching English to adults for whom English is a foreign language
• As a volunteer, you will support to improve classroom management and development of resource materials by using the lates AI tools and student-centered approach

About the Partner Organisation 

Dornogobi Polytechnic College is located in Dornogovi province, 460 km from the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. It was established as a Vocational School of Construction on October 30,1986 and was upgraded to a Polytechnic college after being accredited in 2021. The college provides technical and vocational education and training for students to get equipped with the skills needed for employment and entrepreneurship. In the 2024-2025 academic year, there were 70 teachers and administrative staff at the college and about 800 students studying at 3 different levels:

i) Students who have completed 9 years of basic education (15-17 years old) study vocational education courses for 3 years that lead to both high school and vocational certificates

ii) Students aged over 18, who have graduated from high school can enter technical and vocational education courses of 1 to 1.5 years

 iii) 1 year vocational training courses for adults only.
