We’re looking for an English language Teacher who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 4 months. 

  • You’ll be teaching English language and assist local teachers in developing language resource materials
  • You’ll need experience in TESOL training and hold relevant qualifications
  • You’ll gain an opportunity to work with an organisation strengthening capacities of rural school teachers

About the Partner Organisation 

The Department of Education, Culture and Art, trains and improve the skills of the local teachers and introduce their teaching methodologies and provide professional development resources. This remote volunteering assignment will work with a school located in rural parts of Mongolia where the teachers don't have the same opportunities as that of the teachers located in the cities. The Australian Volunteer will improve their English language proficiency as well as increase their skills in IT.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1,790 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
