English Language Teacher

We’re looking for an English Teacher who can live and volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 6 months. 

• This assignment seeks to support the English language teachers’ skills and professional growth 
• To be considered for this role, you’ll be experienced in teaching English as a foreign language 
• As a volunteer, you will support the college English teachers on lesson planning and preparation of training resources

About the Partner Organisation 

Ulaangom Polytechnic College is in Uvs province which is located in the western part of Mongolia,1350km far from the capital city Ulaanbaatar. It is only vocational school in the provincial center and was established as Agricultural technical and vocational school in 1971.

There are 115 teachers and administrative and service staff and about 870 students in 3 different level of education at the college. Most students are 15-17 years old and study in vocational education courses. Students aged above 18, who graduate high school enter the technical education course, and the third one is the vocational training courses for both teens and adults.

Teachers are divided into 3 departments, such as General Education Department, Vocational Education Department and Technical Education Department. Staff are divided into Administration and Training.
