We’re looking for an English language teacher who can volunteer in hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 6 months. 


  • This assignment seeks to Enhance English language program and its resource materials by improving local teachers teaching, professional and practical skills
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have a teaching certification (such as TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, DELTA) is important. 
  • As a volunteer, you will support local English language teachers to plan their general English classes and ESP, co-teach for helping to enhance their teaching, professional and practical skills 
  • Provide support in Improve faculty members English language proficiency 

About the Partner Organisation 

The Dornogobi Medical School (DoMS) is a branch of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, located in Sainshand, Dornogobi Province, along the Trans-Mongolian Railway, 463 km from Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. Founded in 1961 with five programs, 120 students, nine teachers, and 12 staff members, the school has since graduated over 8,000 health professionals who serve in the Gobi region and eastern provinces. The medical school trains students to become physicians in six years, nurses with a bachelor’s degree in four years, nurses with a diploma in three years, midwives, pharmacists, traditional medicine specialists, and laboratory technicians in three years, and nursing assistants in 1.5 years. It has two main campus facilities/buildings with a library of 110 seats and also has a dormitory accommodating 260 students.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$ 1,914 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$ 79 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
