We’re looking for an English Language Proficiency Trainer who can live and volunteer for 3 months in Laos.

  • This assignment seeks to improve English Language Skills of the Faculty Members of the College

About the Partner Organisation

Luang Prabang Technical Vocational College (LPTVC) founded in 1980, is the largest state TVET institution in the northern region of Laos. The college offers a range of study options, including popular courses in the electrical as well as tourism and hospitality sector. The college also provides career guidance and counseling support to its nearly 2,000 enrollers to aid employment opportunities upon graduation. Gradually, with the introduction of Dual-Cooperative Training (DCT) approach, LPTVC signed MoUs with more than 40 businesses and secured more than 100 DCT places. These partnerships enable us to strengthen the skills of our TVET students as well as our personnel through learning exchanges and hands-on experience. The volunteer will support the enhancement of the Tourism and Hospitality curriculum at LPTV by reviewing existing teaching materials, identifying areas for improvement, and updating course content. They will work closely with college staff to strengthen their English language proficiency and teaching methodologies while also co-teaching selected English classes to support both staff and students. This assignment aims to improve the quality of education, align the curriculum with industry standards, and build the capacity of educators.
