About the Partner Organisation
The Morobe Provincial Health Authority (MoPHA) was established in June 2019 through the integration of the national health functions of ANGAU Memorial Provincial Hospital and the provincial rural health services. Based in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea, MoPHA operates under the “One System Tasol” concept, working to unify health services across urban and rural areas. With Lae as its central hub, MoPHA is committed to delivering coordinated, high-quality health services across the province.
MoPHA’s aim is to drive sustainable, efficient, and community-focused healthcare delivery. It works closely with healthcare professionals, government partners, development organisations, and local
communities to strengthen health systems and improve service access. The organisation is focused on providing equitable care that meets the needs of all Morobeans, regardless of their location.
The volunteer will play a vital role in strengthening clinical education, mentoring, and professional development of ED nurses. Their expertise is essential to implement and sustain the AMPH ED nursing training and credentialing framework, which was developed in partnership with ACEM in 2023. This includes building staff confidence through structured training, supporting clinical audits and research, and improving data collection and management processes. These improvements are critical to ensure safe, evidence-based, and high-quality emergency care.
