We’re looking for a Discipline Advisor in Government Development and International Affairs who can  volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country , for a total of 12 months. 


  • This assignment seeks to review and assist the Discipline in understanding and planning for its strategic development. 
  • You will be working alongside the Faculty of Law and Social Science
  • As a volunteer, you will support capacity building.

About the Partner Organisation 

The University of the South Pacific is a supra-national university owned by 12 member countries that provides world-class education and research that improves the lives of individuals and communities. Its main campus is located in Suva, Fiji.

The primary purpose of this assignment is to provide an objective review of the disciplines of Government, Development, and International Affairs, in the context of the School of Law and Social Sciences and the University as a whole.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.

The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD$2526 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD$131 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
