We’re looking for a Digital Livelihood and Skills Specialist who can volunteer remotely from home for 6 months supporting initiatives in the Philippines.
- This assignment seeks to advance inclusive and sustainable livelihood opportunities for Indigenous Peoples in Barangay Tama by strengthening digital skills, employability, and access to remote work pathways.
- To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as education, business, community development, marketing, or social sciences) or equivalent professional experience, with at least two years’ experience in the digital workforce (e.g. remote work, freelancing, or online service delivery).
- As a volunteer, you will support capacity building and mentoring by designing and delivering digital skills training, supporting job‑readiness activities, and helping develop simple systems to sustain digital livelihood programs.
About the Partner Organisation
The Local Government Unit of Magsaysay is located in Misamis Oriental, Philippines, and serves predominantly rural and Indigenous upland communities. The partner delivers basic local government services and leads inclusive local economic development initiatives focused on livelihoods, skills development, and improving access to opportunities for geographically isolated and disadvantaged populations.
The partner needs a volunteer due to a lack of local expertise in digital livelihoods and remote work pathways and requires specialist support to build participant skills, mentor Indigenous community members, and strengthen local systems to sustain digital livelihood initiatives beyond the assignment.
